Chibulbut is located in Cobán municipality, in Alta Verapaz department.
In 1989 the idea and dream of buying a property in this region was born. Dorian Gaitan, following his father’s and ancestors’ passion, buys Chibulbut to make this dream come true. With the same effort and love his family taught him, he harvests year after year, excellent quality coffee beans.
The region is a sub tropical cold forest which includes both the Pacific and Atlantic flowing, under the name of Sediment Highlands.
Abundant humidity and mist constantly irrigates nineteen Hectares or red catuai coffee variety, cultivated at 1,300 M above sea level. A temperature between 15 and 26 Celsius degree contributes to the ideal microclimate where coffee is grown.
Topography is predominantly undulated with hills that end in plateaus and pronounced slopes made up of soils, not deep, with lime stone.
