Guatemalan Coffees back in Japan
SCAJ World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition 2009

From October 14 to 16, Guatemalan Coffees will be participating on the 2009 edition of the World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition organized by the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ), known as the largest coffee exhibition in Japan.

Once again, the Tokyo Big Sight convention center, is being the host venue for this important event, which every year brings together visitors from around the World, reaching more than 20,000 people, related to specialty coffees, looking forward to meet new products and services, know more about coffee, learn and share experiences and knowledge.

As in the past years, Guatemalan Coffees is a proud sponsor of this event and will give the attendees, by visiting booth number 16, the opportunity to taste our eight regional coffees: Acatenango Valley, Antigua Coffee, Traditional Atitlán, Rainforest Cobán, Fraijanes Plateau, Highland Huehue, New Oriente and Volcanic San Marcos.

Due to the importance of Japan as market of Guatemalan Coffees, we look forward to get Japanese consumers informed about the quality behind our beans by providing them informative material. Thus, interested visitors can get a copy of Portraits of Quality, a photographic journey through the stories of people who make the difference in the delicate process of getting the best quality in our coffees, this material is available in English and Japanese languages.

Guatemalan Coffees will present the seminar: Guatemala Cup of Excellence 2009, correlating climate to quality. This seminar is intended to relate the existing natural conditions to the production of specific cup profiles, supporting the trend of offering differentiated quality coffee to the specialty market. Five Cup of Excellence winner coffees, that demonstrate this principle will be presented in a tasting session. This seminar will take place on October 14, at 12:00-13:30 on the Seminar Room 1 at the Conference Tower Room 101.
